Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

1. Who we are

ANASK is a city discovery platform beginning in Nnewi, Anambra State, Nigeria. For this policy, Anaedo Technologies is the data controller for the personal data it decides how and why to process. For privacy questions, contact nnewimarketplace@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, create or claim a listing, upload a photo, submit a review or report, request a ride or driver role, or contact us. This can include your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, account details, business details, photographs, review or report content, Facebook Page link, and location or address information. We also collect limited technical data such as device, browser, IP address, pages visited, notification choices and cookies needed to operate and secure the service.

3. Why we use information

We use personal data to provide and improve ANASK; create and administer accounts; publish and verify directory listings; support search, notifications and business analytics; prevent fraud, spam and misuse; respond to requests; enforce our Terms; communicate service-related messages; and meet legal obligations. We rely on consent where required, performance of a contract or requested service, our legitimate interests in operating a safe and useful directory, and legal obligations, as applicable.

4. Public listings and reviews

Information submitted for a public listing—such as a business or place name, address, opening information, description, public contact details, Facebook Page link and photos—may be visible to anyone using ANASK and may be indexed by search engines. Reviews and star ratings are also published immediately, but may later be reviewed or removed when reported or where they breach our Terms. Do not submit personal information you do not intend to make public. Listing owners are responsible for ensuring they have authority to provide the information and photographs they submit.

5. Sharing, social links and processors

We do not sell personal data. A Facebook Page link, website, phone number or WhatsApp link takes a visitor to a third party chosen by the listing owner; ANASK does not automatically copy posts from that Page. We may share data with service providers that help us host, secure, analyse or operate ANASK, including our authentication, database, storage and notification providers; with professional advisers or authorities where required by law; and with another person where you direct us to do so. Providers may process data only under appropriate contractual safeguards and instructions.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may store or process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we will use safeguards required by applicable Nigerian data-protection law, taking account of the destination, the provider and the nature of the transfer.

7. Retention and security

We keep data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including to operate accounts and listings, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations. If you delete your account, ANASK removes or anonymises personal profile data and keeps only a minimal private deletion audit record or safety, fraud, dispute or driver-verification evidence where there is a documented lawful reason and retention period. We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. We will handle suspected breaches in line with applicable law and our incident procedures.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to processing of your personal data; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and request portability where applicable. To make a request, contact nnewimarketplace@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited data where necessary for legal, security or record-keeping reasons. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

9. Cookies

ANASK may use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, protect the service and understand basic usage. We will seek any consent required for non-essential cookies and will provide a cookie notice or preference tool before introducing advertising or non-essential analytics cookies.

10. Children, third-party links and changes

ANASK is not directed to children. Do not create an account or submit personal data for a child without appropriate authority. Third-party sites linked from ANASK have their own privacy practices. We may update this policy when our practices or the law changes; the revised date will appear below.
